HDR (High Dynamic Range) makes bright areas of the screen look even brighter, allows the TV to display new colors and significantly expands the range of the contrast ratio on-screen. However, you might notice this setting makes the image a bit redder and dimmer. But if the movie you’re watching was properly mastered, the color should be fine turn these off for the most natural-looking image.įor the majority of TVs, the Movie or Cinema mode is generally the most “accurate,” which means the image will look closer to what the filmmaker or content creator intended.
Live Color makes colors more saturated, HDR+ Mode attempts to make standard content look more like HDR, and Flesh Tone attempts to make skin pop.
